EJ anxiously downs a drink and now needs another after the tragic funeral of Abigail. Belle perceives his pain. He declares the DiMeras destroy lives ... Rafe shows Chad the bracelet. It was Abigail's! Chad is shocked to hear Clyde gave it to Nancy ... Clyde remembers his deal with Leo - whose name he knew not ... Outside the pub Leo taunts Nancy about her boyfriend woes ... Evan paces and waits for Jan and his son ... Jan has the baby in her arms, puts on a mask and so begins her great escape from the hospital. Seconds later Shawn realizes Jan left with the baby and gets a call from Statesville from Evan. Shawn shouts he is busy as Jan stole his son ... EJ feels like a bad DiMera and regrets the past. He should never have gotten involved with the DiMeras and still feels badly about his affair with Abigail. He also feels like a lousy brother ... Irate Nancy hated seeing Clyde arrested for the beautiful bracelet he gave her. Leo does the math and gasps that guy was Clyde ... Chad runs into Clyde's room and starts to strangle him. Rafe rushes in and stops him. Clyde swears he did not do it. He bought the bracelet from some guy. Rafe talks tough and leaves with Chad ... Leo asks Nancy to describe Clyde and also the bracelet ... Belle assures EJ that Chad will need his brother soon. EJ now gets a call and looks rattled. He tells Belle that Clyde was arrested with some of Abigail's missing jewelry ... Jan is down at the docks with the baby. The seagulls cry as she admires Ben and Ciara’s boat. She cannot wait to sail away with her baby's daddy ... - Orpheus promises Evan will see his son in good time and hopes he did not ... Evan ordered Jan to bring him the baby or he would tell Shawn the truth. Orpheus sighs ... Shawn wants an APB on Jan Spears. She suddenly calls and states she has their son. He needs both parents. Shawn asks her location and she orders him to come alone if he ever wants to see his boy again ... Lawyer Belle tries to stop EJ from heading to the station but he believes Clyde killed Abigail as revenge on him. Chloe enters and hears the latest, shocked about Clyde. She hopes Nancy will drop him. She now reveals she came about Shawn, who spoke with Brady last night. Big brother is concerned cos Belle is living with EJ. It was not easy to stop him from storming over. Belle quips if he had he would have caught her with EJ ... Nancy insists the man who offed Abigail was the one who sold her Clyde the stolen jewelry but he will be caught when the sketch is circulated ... Rafe wants to break Clyde down but tis not easy. He needs to know who sold him the jewelry and notes Clyde seems to have had no motive. EJ arrives and offers to enlighten him ... - Chloe gets sarcastic about Belle making her life complicated and wonders about Sami. Belle believes she moved on but Chloe thinks not. Belle admits she does feel guilty ... EJ announces that in Statesville he remembered Clyde was responsible for his shooting. Chad rages cos he never reported him. EJ admits Clyde threatened to harm the family. Rafe listens ... Belle confesses to Chloe she misses Shawn and Claire. Chloe wonders about EJ but Belle has no answer. Chloe now excuses herself to catch up with Nancy ... Belle listens to a message from Shawn, who states he loves her and Claire more than anything. She realizes he called from the docks and gets worried ... Orpheus reasons Jan has an ankle monitor on but Evan believes she got his baby and is on her way. Orpheus had no idea his son was so stupid ... Shawn meets Jan down at the docks and declares he came alone without telling anyone. She gushes the three of them are going to sail away from Salem. He states the baby is not strong enough and asks her to hand him over. She tosses the bundle in the air and Shawn lunges ... - Chad rages EJ never shared Clyde's threat to the family and damns him to hell ... Leo sits and nervously remembers his deal with Clyde, how he sold him the hot jewelry at the park. He looks ready to faint and Nancy notices. Chloe finds her mother and Leo excuses himself. Chloe hears her mother was present when Clyde got arrested. Fancy Nancy refuses to believe her boyfriend did anything wrong ... Orpheus warns his son he screwed up. Evan vows to tell Shawn he is the father if Jan betrayed him. Orpheus says no ... The baby blanket contains just oranges and Jan laughs like a witch. She leers the baby is warm on board. Shawn plans to take him to the hospital so she knocks him out with a paddle and proceeds with her plan. They are sailing away from Salem and that beech Belle ... Here comes Belle, who gasps what did she do to Shawn. They struggle over the paddle and Belle wins. Then she whacks Jan in the face and Jan falls into the water. Belle tends to Shawn as he wakes up. He gasps to get the baby from the boat. His head hurts ... Nancy knows Clyde is not a killer and tells Chloe ... Rafe has serious doubts about EJ's story as does Chad, who accuses him of trying to cover his own sins. Clyde must have known something so he let him get away with attempted murder. Chad adds he only came forward after he found out Clyde was arrested. Tis his damage control. Chad is done with EJ and Rafe warns him of more questions to come ... Belle has the baby and Shawn asks about Jan. He hears she wound up in the water and dives in after her. Belle cannot stop him ... EJ heads home alone and gets another drink. He remembers Chad's damnation and drunkenly raises his glass to fatha ... Rafe tells Clyde he will be moved to a holding cell. He had stolen property plus EJ talked ... Rafe now returns to Chad and urges him to go to his kids. Chad asks him to warn Clyde he will face a death sentence now and walks away ... Chloe warns Nancy the stolen goods will send Clyde back to the slammer but smart Nancy believes he bought the jewelry from the real killer and will ID him with a plea deal. Leo worriedly watches from the shadows as fireworks start overhead ... Orpheus warns Evan they must do this the right way cos the baby is their ticket out. Evan eventually agrees ... Alas wet Shawn saw no sign of Jan. The July 4 fireworks explode overhead and Belle gulps, still holding the now crying baby ... STAY TUNED! Luv Cathy |
