Marlena and John rehearse another fake argument for their Kristen theater. Method actress Marlena apologizes for throwing water in his handsome face ... Kristen gasps about the orchid being stolen but Brady has had it. He warns no flower no Rachel ... When Steph stands up she suddenly realizes she has a sore ankle from skating. Chad wants to help heal her and massages the ankle. Their eyes lock and she blushes ... Alas there is not sufficient serum. Kayla wants to find another treatment. Meantime Marlena and Kate must be warned ... Eric arrives and John greets him. Marlena smiles and he tells them he wants to find Brady. He is not here but they appreciate Eric offering to look after Rachel for them. The smiles fade when Eric admits he abducted her ... Kristen protests. Brady plays hardball but she has no flower and swears on her little girl's life ... - Alex calls Steph and hopes she is no longer angry. She says no. He apologizes for being wrongly jealous of Chad and invites her for dinner. She will meet him and agrees to the bistro. She ends the call and updates Chad, who seems a tad disappointed when she departs ... Kristen knows not who in the mansion stole the orchid. Brady blasts her for believing it would be safe down in the secret room. She assures him EJ had the area secured for construction. Brady assumes one of the workers took it. She wants to believe it is still in the house, however ... John and Marlena are shocked. Eric assures them Rachel is fine with his friend and Brady was in on it. John and Marlena are horrified to hear how Kristen blackmailed Brady into leaving Chloe if he wanted to keep Marlena alive ... Roman ends a call and unhappily informs Kate that Kayla's test results were like hers. Kate realizes they are relapsing but wants to finish her meal. She vows to make it again ... Kayla concludes she should also call Marlena but then she faints. Steve and Rex catch her before she falls ... In the lavish DiMera living room Brady paces. Kristen comes back and notes only butler Harold is home. He saw no orchid and said no one has been down to the tunnel due to the hazards. The foreman is trustworthy. Brady warns if the three women are harmed it is her fault ... John just knew Kristen was up to something! Marlena wonders why Brady did not return to Chloe as the threat was over. Eric reveals the three women will need more serum and that was what Kristen was holding over Brady's head. Marlena suddenly sneezes and John gets worried ... Rex wants to admit feverish Kayla but the medicine woman wants to work. Steve promises they will win just like before ... Roman implores Kate to head to the hospital. She refuses. Chad enters and gets an update. Kate stands up and faints but Chad catches her before she falls ... - The bistro was closed so Steph and Alex end up staying in and snacking at the Kiriakis mansion. He apologizes for acting jealous. She assures him Chad is only a friend ... Roman wants to take unconscious Kate to the hospital stat and asks Chad to call Kayla ... Kayla is in a hospital bed when she gets the call from Chad. He updates her on Roman taking unconscious Kate to hospital. Kayla informs Rex, who takes off to meet his mother. She asks Steve to contact Marlena. Meanwhile Marlena makes light of her sneeze and blasts Kristen for her cruelty. John hears the abduction was Eric's idea and warns Kristen could snap. Enter a somber Brady and Kristen. Brady reveals the orchid is gone. John holds the woman he loves ... Alex and Steph snuggle on the sofa by the fireplace. She admits it was cold and still is out there. Alex invites her to spend the night and she agrees with a kiss but the music is dire ... Kayla is livid about the legacy of Orpheus and wishes they knew the identity of the individual who dropped off the serum. Steve knows not but hopes they do it again ... Eric, John and Marlena have doubts about Kristen, who claims she would have handed over the orchid cos her daughter was snatched. She confronts Eric cos she concludes he took her daughter. John rages she is deranged and her scheme is to blame if Rachel's grandmother loses her life. He accuses her of having a sick obsession for his son. Kristen cries they could still find the orchid. Steve now calls John with bad news ... - Kate is in a hospital bed when she wakes up to Rex. She fears the worst and feels like she is slipping away faster than before. Rex urges her to rest. She begs him to bring her home ... Steph limps into Alex's bedroom and he hears Chad massaged her ankle. He decides not to be jealous and ruin the mood. She tells him to stop talking and they kiss ... John wants to take the woman he loves to the hospital. She feels fine and agrees to lie down. But first she blames Kristen for whatever happens to the other two women. Eric wants to find the orchid. Kristen demands her daughter back first ... Roman, Chad and Steve discuss Kristen's creepy blackmail ... Medicine man Rex blames himself for not realizing the one dose would not work long. Kate gasps she feels strange. Roman rushes in and she tells him she loves him. Then she flatlines as they stare in horror ... Brady wonders whether Rolf took the orchid. Kristen doubts it as he is halfway around the world. Eric returns with Rachel and she has a happy reunion with her unsuspecting daughter ... Steve asks Chad to call Stephanie for him and heads back to Kayla ... Steph steps away to freshen up. Alex sees the incoming call she has from Chad and ignores it. Then he gleefully gets on the bed ... Steve promises Sweetness they will make Kristen pay once she and the others get better ...
