Steve and Jada cannot reach Stephanie. Jeremy has her phone ... Jada and Steve head to the hospital. That is where Kayla has just found Steph's bodyguard. He wakes up and she asks where her daughter is ... Elsewhere Steph is gagged and tied to a chair. She wakes up in horror ... Chanel sighs about Johnny being too busy with DiMera. Sarah asks if she would like to hear baby's heartbeat and record it for Johnny. Chanel gets emotional ... Alex and EJ arrive at the hospital. Kayla is frantic to find snatched Steph. EJ orders a lockdown ... Alex checks the stairwell. Steve and Jada arrive, horrified to hear Steph is missing. They assume it was Jeremy. Jada orders all units to the hospital to search. Meanwhile alone and in the dark hostage Stephanie proceeds to panic ... Jada sees something on her computer. - There is now a cop at every entrance and exit of the hospital. EJ hopes to keep things under the table. Jada must make a statement. Shawn is heading to the security office to check the CC tv. EJ heads off to assist. Jada now gets an update from JJ at the school ... Sarah ordered bloodwork but believes all seems well with Chanel. Chanel wonders how she manages. There are sitters but there are also many precious moments for motherhood ... Kayla and Steve worry. Here comes Jada with an update ... Sarah admits to Chanel her daughter does miss daddy, whom she does not want near her now. She gets a text and hastily excuses herself. Chanel listens to the heartbeat recording again ... Jada reveals Jeremy went to the washroom and never returned but he left his car at the school. Steve takes off to track him. Alex bears bad news. But no one is as dire as Stephanie now. She reassures herself but then the creepy captor comes back. - Sherlock Alex believes there was a bug in the frame of the bogus gift that was not from EJ after all. Jada refuses to let Alex go rogue. EJ offers to accompany him on his mission. Jada will need access to the whole hospital including the lab and clinic. EJ anxiously agrees and steps away to call right hand Cat. Jada promises Kayla they will find her daughter and departs to speak with handsome Officer Hanson. Here comes perfumed power Paulina, who runs into bewildered Chanel. Paulina demands to know what EJ did this time! Nothing and he is frantic about missing Stephanie ... Hanson admits the man who attacked him could have been Jeremy Horton ... Madam Mayor is appalled. Kayla and EJ bicker but she agrees with him and Alex heading home to get that frame ... Julie is shocked when Steve informs her the cops have reason to believe Jeremy abducted his daughter ... Steph is terrified and very awake. Jeremy smugly removes his mask and insists she wants him cos she wrote about him in her book. He removes the gag and insists they are in love. She denies it. He intends to get rid of Alex but she begs him not to. He walks out and she cries and screams ... Hanson wants to search for Steph. Jada will let him help with the CCtv footage but no more than that as he suffered a blow to the head. He leaves and Sarah reveals officer Hanson was dosed with a fast acting sedative. If the lab can find out what it was they will be able to track where he got it from. Jada hopes her pal Steph will be alright ... Steve shows Julie the footage from the Halloween party. Disguised Jeremy had a knife. Julie is aghast and regrets believing he was innocent. She wants to help. Steve urges her to let the station know if she hears from him. He wonders where he might have taken Steph and gets an idea ... EJ and Alex are being followed by an officer. EJ warns Alex that the perp could be casing his building if he was indeed his target. Alex suggests the back secret entrance. They keep going and Jeremy emerges in his hoodie. He too is on the move ... Chanel cannot reach Johnny and suddenly gets a cramp. Paulina gets worried ... Sarah and Kayla decide to pray in the chapel ... Julie concludes Jeremy could have taken Steph to the Horton Smith island. There is a family cabin and she hands Steve the key. Alas she must tell Jeremy's dad what is going on ... EJ easily pinpoints the bug in the frame that was presumably sent by Jeremy ... Alex speaks into the picture bug and threatens to kill Jeremy if he hurts his beloved Steph. He then bolts and EJ races after him ... Chanel sits and tries to catch her breath ... Jada hears from forensics. So far no prints. Steve vows to turn Salem upside down and hugs Kayla ... Stephanie screams to come back. Alex now enters but Jeremy has a gun on him. Steph promises to run away with Jeremy so long as he does not hurt Alex. She cries nooooo and Jeremy shoots Alex dead. Then she wakes up from the never-ending nightmare and screams, still a hostage.
