Chez Doug and Julie but before John goes his angel places the medal of St Benedict around his heroic neck. It will help him drive away the dastardly devil. Alas he cannot accompany him but knows he can win the battle with the strength of his faith. John emotionally hugs him and goes. Gabriel shakes his head with worry ... Mardevil hisses at Ben to step aside but he refuses. Mardevil warns she is not above killing him. Julie jumps in and Doug reasons they ran her out before soooo ... Mardevil would not mind offing them all for the only one she needs alive is Ciara ... Shawn gets dressed. He and Belle are aghast. Jan boasts she was not the one left in the hospital bed but refuses to say who is there. She taunts Shawn about their good time. He wants to arrest her ... Abigail hears Jen is almost finished with Laura's estate. Jen is elated to hear tis just about time to hang the Christmas tree ornaments at Horton house ... The devil decides to do away with Ben, Julie and Doug. Julie declares it will not happen for the power of their love shall overcome. Mardevil dramatically whips out two torches which blow out. She turns around and John sarcastically wishes Satan a Merry Christmas. The fight between good and evil is officially ON. - As Allie watches Steve views the security footage on Kayla's computer. Sweetness is resting at home. They notice Tripp arrived at 6:55 pm for his night shift. The screen suddenly goes blank. Steve suspects someone erased it but now it comes back. The recording went black right after he found Kayla. He deduces Mardevil did something to his son ... Jan teases Shawn as he hauls her cuffed into the station. Belle wants to know where Marlena went. Jan knows not but would never share anyway. She leers Shawn loved her tricks and claims their chemistry is real. Belle tells her to stop. Jan smiles she will always be in her head now thanks to her possessed mother ... Mardevil sarcastically greets John. Ben updates him on her threat to burn them. Julie believes John will save the day. Mardevil thinks not and taunts John about busy Belle. Doc vows to kill all and gets the flame back. John holds the medallion up, asks for God's help and extinguishes the flame. The devil hisses Gabriel was not supposed to be involved. John hopes doc will forgive him and sends her flying with the power of the medallion. He does it again and she crumples like a ragdoll after hitting the wall ... Later Ben returns from helping John get Marlena into the car. He wanted to do the rest alone. Ciara is afraid but Ben promises she will be safe. Julie and Doug believe the power of love shall overcome all evil. Ben kisses and consoles Ciara ... Allie wonders where Tripp is. Belle calls Steve from the station and tells him the situation. Jan is not in her hospital bed. Steve does the math ... Doug, Julie, Ben and Ciara are happy to be together. Julie promises a Horton family Christmas. Here comes Jen with Jack, Chad, Abigail and the kids. Let the Horton Christmas Eve begin! Julie is elated Jen came home. Ben suggests he go but Ciara tells hubby he is her family and she wants him to stay. Abigail approaches and he offers to stay away. She and Chad wish him a Merry Christmas. Surprised Ben says the same back. The kids ask after the angel so Doug and Julie reply the angel needed a rest. Eli and Lani are staying with the twins, who needed rest as well and absent Maggie wanted to be near Victor for Philip is missing. Doug watches while Jen holds the box of ornaments and the kids join in the fun. Julie hangs Doug's beside hers on the tree and Jen hugs him. Tom and Alice's are above. Jen sticks to Jack like glue as Doug and Julie marvel at the sight of this Horton holy night. - Worried Steve and Allie rush to sleeping Tripp, who is all hooked up in the coma room. Shawn profusely apologizes to Belle, who cries but does not blame him. The devil made him do it but she and Jan lost for they are still together. They embrace and wish each other a happy anniversary ... Julie admits she misses the angel. Jenny happily hands her her gift early. Jack assures them Alice would approve. Tis the angel Jen found at Laura's. Glamorous Doug and Julie are moved. Ben offers to place it atop the tree. It sparkles as do our heroes and heroines ... Meanwhile Mardevil wakes up tied to a bed.
