Nearby the bomb cruelly counts down ... Stefan thanks Chloe for helping him avert a DiMera distribution crisis. She sighs about the operatic date she and Brady were going to have on this night in New York before he dumped her ... Brady encourages Eric to reassure Nicole about the baby not coming between them. Eric snaps to stop and complains Nicole convinced Jada to abort ... Ava lies she is paying secret respects to Susan. Johnny doubts it so she argues EJ started the war by forcing her out of Salem. Brady warns him against that suspect woman so Eric quips Brady is sleeping with Kristen DiMera ... John confirms to curious Kristen that doc wants her out of the house cos she believes she is manipulating Brady. He pretends to believe in Kristen's innocence and adds Marlena is worried Brady will fall for her again. She asks his opinion and he shares his 'view' she belongs under the same roof as Rachel. Outside the church Johnny blasts Ava for trying to defraud the DiMeras. He regrets defending her and she wonders why the about face. He thunders she murdered his grandmother ... Inside the church EJ refuses to start without Johnny. Tripp suddenly storms in and accuses him of attempting to off mama Ava ... Stefan kisses Chloe and she asks him to check the shipment is en route. He takes a look and confirms. Ominous music plays as she offers to attend the memorial for Susan with him. They depart together. No one knows what a disaster it will be. Yet... - Nicole insists to Tripp that EJ did not off Ava. Tripp suggests he forced the crash. EJ was trying to save her and says so. Nicole tries to intervene so Tripp calls her the tramp who slept with his mother's boyfriend behind her back ... Ava admits she abducted Susan but did not wish to harm her. Eric suggests she will outsmart her way into his bed again. Brady is attracted but after what she did he will never want to be with her again. Eric probes that part and wonders what she did to him. Brady pauses ... EJ raises his resonant voice and rages Tripp must not shout at Nicole. He argues Ava escalated the situation by snatching Susan. Tripp snaps but EJ abducted HIM. The guests stare in stunned silence ... Johnny hears how EJ snatched Tripp and Steve and Kayla rescued him. Johnny wonders why Ava drove his grandmother off a cliff ... Tripp accuses EJ of being too cheap to buy Susan's freedom. Nicole remembers a telling conversation they had. Mary gets mad and ushers the father away ... John pretends to think that doc is too influenced by his and Kristen's past to see her goodness. He proceeds to remember the good things she did, like with the little league team. She seems to buy it including his recollection of the Kristen he used to love ... Eric wants to know about Kristen. Stefan arrives with Chloe and sarcastically asks Brady for the opera tickets so he and Chloe could exchange them for a Valentine performance. He blasts Brady for not caring like he does. Brady insists he cares and the barbs fly. When Stefan leers he lost his woman to a real man, Brady slugs him and Stefan goes down. Chloe blasts Brady. Stefan calls the brothers rage-aholics and threatens to call the cops. Brady dares him to ... John praises Kristen for her religious side and notes she saved doc from the devil. She was a good friend and he pretends not to get why Marlena will not be her friend right back ... - Suspicious Johnny suggests Ava crashed on purpose. Mary opens the door and updates Johnny on the young man racing in accusing EJ of abducting him. Inside EJ suggests Tripp needs help and tells him to leave. Tripp plops down in a pew and refuses to move. Marlena blinks. The bomb now has 13 minutes left until mayhem hits ... John is sorry about Marlena's opinion and calls Kristen a good mother and a good human being. The guilt gets to her and she cries she is not such a good person ... Chloe wants to leave. Stefan leers Brady will suffer for letting Chloe go and they depart together. Eric wonders why Brady is so bothered and why he gave the girl up ... Stefan invites Chloe to the reception EJ is having at the house and she accepts ... Ava is shocked when she realizes it was Tripp who showed up and races into the church. Inside Marlena cannot get Tripp to leave. EJ grabs him. Ava runs in and insists he leave with her. Tripp stands, stunned to see she is still alive. So is EJ ... John calmly wonders what Kristen did ... Brady admits to suspicious Eric that Kristen blackmailed him into moving her in and dumping Chloe ... Chloe and Stefan are at the DiMera mansion but the reception has not begun. The service seems to be running late ...
