He hates how he hurt his folks and could never live with Bo dying cos of him! - Roman asks Kayla what the bad news is. Here come Steve and Marlena. Kayla gasps about Bo and hugs him. She now wonders whether Tate just wants to get Holly jealous ... Shawn recalls the old days with Bo and Hope on the houseboat and gets choked up. Jada holds him as he sobs ... - Steve, Marlena and Ro hear that Bo got an infection from the ventilator and now has sepsis. Marlena gasps in horror. Steve gasps oh God. Roman asks about the outlook. If the infection continues that will lead to organ failure. The gang feel helpless. Kayla suddenly remembers Dr. Russel working on a medicine that would stop sepsis caused multi organ failure. Ro suggests they call him. Kayla sighs it has not been approved yet ... Tate insists his invite had nothing to do with Holly. Here comes Chanel with flowers for winner Felicity. She is glad to catch up with the teens too ... Jada understands where Shawn is coming from for she remembers losing her father. Alas her regret remained cos she became a cop instead of a doc. She is sure he was proud and admits she came to Salem to be surrounded by people who loved her dad. Just as Salem loves Bo ... Outside the Salem Inn, Kayla probes. Patch concludes Bo has cheated death before and he will dang well do it again ... Inside the pub Roman asks how Marlena is doing and here comes Johnny. He is elated to see her and she shares the sentiment. He asks about John. Marlena is optimistic about an update soon and then gets a moment alone with her grandson. She does not deny Sami called her and updated her on their long talk. When the topic of visiting EJ comes up Johnny hisses he is not interested cos he now wishes his dastardly da were dead! - Shawn and Jada are in no mood for the Chinese food they ordered earlier. Shawn hates feeling so helpless. She suggests they put the food away and take a walk. He agrees ... Kayla and Steve are sitting at the Horton Plaque and she feels frustrated she cannot help Bo ... Chanel has a beautiful bouquet for delighted Sophia and deeply touched Tate. She gets choked up about them giving her and Johnny the greatest gift. Sophia hugs her ... Back at the pub Marlena lowers her voice and suggests Johnny think before he blurts. She gathers EJ made his life complicated but notes it sounds like Sophia's mom did not pull back because of EJ's history. There is nothing to prevent them from proceeding. Johnny pouts he is preventing it!! - Shawn and Jada run into sympathetic Steve and Kayla at the square. He sighs he spoke to Ciara and Chelsea and will have to also call Claire. He is to blame if Bo dies. Steve insists he stop talking like that as Bo would insist. They must stick together as a family. Kayla feels the same way ... Johnny is just stressed about the adoption situation he no longer is comfortable with. Marlena insists he speak with Chanel so they can make their decision as a couple ... Sophia and Tate loved seeing Felicity in action. Tate wishes Aaron had been there. Sophia hastily states she is so glad their baby will go to a wonderful home with Chanel. Tate gets a flower from her bouquet and invites her to prom. She agrees and they hug. It means more to her than he could possibly know ... Meanwhile dour Johnny heads home to happy gushy Chanel. He wants to discuss the adoption ... Jada enjoys her ice cream as Steve discusses her dad with her. Medicine woman Kayla bears news.
