Monday, January 31, 2011 up at 5:10 pm est January 28 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! SHOWTIME! - At the hospital, patient Rafe opens his eyes and blinks at Sami. He closes them again. She is dismayed he does not seem to have heard her. She later complains to Dr. Dan that he opened his eyes but did not respond to her. Dr. Dan assures her that will change. She worries about brain damage. Dan wants her to be hopeful, yet he is sympathetic. He reminds her she is a strong woman. Sami replies Rafe is the one who makes her strong. Dan begs to differ. "Strength is who you are. It's in your DNA." Sami hopes so, but she blames herself for the accident. Dan stops her. Sami sits back down and implores Rafe to wake up. "Please come back to me." Once they are alone again, she tells him she is sorry and knows the accident was her fault. She assures him Dr. Jonas said he will wake up soon. He must, for they all need him ... Out in the hall, Stefano whispers to EJ that what has transpired to Hernandez works in their favor. He soon returns with news on his prognosis. He could make a complete recovery or have permanent brain damage. EJ chuckles this accident is fortuitous. They are both pleased about the timing. However, EJ has misgivings about acting tonight. He now appears to hesitate. Stefano warns either he go ahead with the plan or he might have to give up the children. EJ hesitates, as he would have needed more time. The phoenix insists that they take advantage of this opening fate has given them. He later calls Marco, to find out how things are progressing. He hopes they can soon move forward. "Excellent!" Stefano now calls an Italian to order a handmade doll for a very special birthday. EJ approaches and chuckles when Stefano claims they will spoil Sydney like crazy. EJ agrees it will be a special day indeed. He is looking forward to the stability in their lives .. - Nicole is lovingly spending time with Sydney at the mansion, though she is supposed to be in bed. Nicole promises she will have the best birthday party ever. She is in seventh heaven that Sami agreed to sign the papers. She misses Brady, but being with her is the best. She picks her up and declares nothing will ruin her future with her. She has a drink once Syd is in bed and toasts to getting what you need, though you can't always get what you want. Maid Mary enters and hands her a letter that came for her. Nicole dismisses her. She looks at the envelope and then tosses it in the fireplace. - At the infirmary, Jen is alone with evil Lee. She sneaks her phone back as Lee turns while talking to Ben. She promises him a good healthy heart within the next hour and advises him to get ready. He knows just what he has to do. When Jen hears she is talking to Dr. Walters, she is aghast! She holds the phone behind her back and presses a button. Lee ends her call and approaches. Jen keeps her talking and promises she will not go to the cops as she is falling in love with Ben. Lee smirks that is romantic. Jen babbles what a great guy he is. She is in awe of the lives he saved and she knows that is the reason he does this. She would never do or say anything to hurt him. The end justifies the means and she wants to help! Lee gives her the evil eye. Jen stammers she and her medical connections can help facilitate things. All of a sudden her phone beeps. Lee calls her a liar and shoves her down to the floor. The phone falls and she picks up the pieces. Jen is unable to get up ... - At a clearing in the woods, Bo turns around to face the warden and Bird the shooter. She orders him to turn back around. Hope and Carly remain behind the trees. "No!" exclaims Bo. He tells them not to do it, not now. The wicked warden thinks is he stalling. "Put a bullet in him, Bird!" Bird has his gun pointed at Bo, whose eyes flicker. He stalls by claiming the setup will not be believed, then makes eye contact with Hope and Carly. "I would definitely go after the big guy with the gun." Carly nods. Hope stares and waits. The warden gets mad and wants the deed done. Carly lets out a scream to wake the dead. Bo rushes the big bad cop. The gun goes off. Moments later, the warden and her flunky state cop are sitting with handcuffs on. The cops are heard approaching. The warden leers Carly too will go down for aiding and abetting. Hope is tense. Bo notes the decision of what to do next seems to have been made for them. The sirens get closer and closer. - At the loft, Gabi is lamenting over her calculus. Will is distracted. He has his mom and Rafe on his mind. The custody agreement should not have taken so long and it is not like her not to call. He will call Stephanie, who has Ally, in case she already picked her up. Gabi teases his phone was off. Will listens to his messages. "Oh my God!" - Gabi and Will rush into Rafe's room. Sami is sorry. Gabi sits by her brother, her eyes filled with tears. "Rafe ..." She sadly notices he is not responding. Sami informs her Dr. Jonas is optimistic. He is young and strong and opened his eyes earlier. She whispers he will come back to them, as he knows how much they need him. Gabi asks what happened. Sami admits Rafe was following her to prevent her from doing something stupid. Gabi insists he will be okay. Sami agrees. She beats herself up for being so impulsive. Will declares this is nobody's fault. Gabi agrees and starts to pray. Once they are alone again, Sami encourages Rafe to get better for Johnny and all of them. "You're perfect." He and his big heart get her through. She recalls how amazing it was that they gave each other the key to the safe house for Christmas. They are soul mates. She kisses his cheek. "I love you so much." And she is confident he loves her, even though she has been crazy screwed up for so long. No other man has ever treated her with such respect. She wonders who else could protect her from herself. "No one," he whispers. Sami smiles. "You heard me?" "Every word," he gasps. He does not want her to call the doctor and hoarsely says he wants to be with her. She cries she is sorry and loves him. Rafe whispers he loves her too. She kisses him and sniffles. - Down at the pier, Dan runs into Ben, who is waiting for the important heart delivery. Dan asks to watch the surgery ... - Taylor's hands are seen holding her phone on the bus. She decides not to call, as surprises are more fun. When the bus arrives in Salem and comes to a stop, she drops her purse ... - Gabi and Will are back at the loft. She woefuly wants to return to see Rafe when he wakes up, then gets upset about not knowing how to tell her mother. Will touches her face and reassures her. They hold each other tight. - At the infirmary, Jennifer finds herself strapped to a bed and begs Lee not to do this. Lee quotes Lord Byron and mentions her heart. Jen cries she can help her. Enter a nurse. She has faxed over the paperwork and wants to know if the warden knows about this. Lee tells her not to worry, she will deal with the fallout, if there is any! Time to get started. Jen goes under and Lee gloats she has a heart of gold, which she appears to have removed (though it is not seen). Jennifer remains hooked up to machines. The heart is soon on its way and Lee walks off to call the warden ... - Dan gets back to the hospital, ready to observe the transplant. Maxine informs him the paperwork was faxed over. Dr. Dan reads it and frowns. Another one from the prison? He will have to confer with Dr. Ben. - Bo and Hope are meeting with Abe. He solemnly warns them they are in deep. Hope might never get out of prison and Bo risked everything. "To save my wife," says he. Hope insists the warden was going to kill her and the dirty state cop was in on it. Enter a detective who quips why should they believe her! Carly later corroborates Bo and Hope's story to Abe. Jennifer knows it too. Abe drawls they have cops on their way to see her and there is a message on her voicemail ... Meanwhile, Bo and Hope disagree in another room with the detective, who doubts their story. He thinks they went rogue and are making it up. Hope advises him to check the records of the infirmary. Bo warns a good, clean detective will check all the facts. If he gets the warden in there, he will prove what he is saying is true! The warden soon is brought in and claims she had every right to work with Detective Stevens. She was hoping Brady would lead them to his wife, too. As it turns out, the other detective believes her and concludes she will get a commendation for her work. - Carly asks Abe if she can make a phone call. She reaches Daniel at the hospital and updates him on how the prison has been killing inmates for body parts. Just then, Dan spies Ben arriving with the heart in a box ... - Down in the DiMera basement, Stefano shows EJ his plans. EJ studies the file. He is impressed with all the research but needs to know more. There is a drawn curtain behind them. EJ is later convinced with what else Stefano has shared. No one will know that Rafe was set up by team DiMera! Upstairs, the doorbell rings. Nicole is miffed no servants have answered it. That will change once she is lady of the house! She opens the door to Taylor, who is escorted by a police officer. "This woman says you know her?" Taylor hugs her. She sweetly says she missed her and anxiously tells the officer this is her sister. Nicole smiles sheepishly and sighs ... - Back at the hospital, Sami assures Rafe he will get better and they will start their wonderful life together. He closes his eyes ... - Meanwhile, in the DiMera basement, Stefano announces "It is time" and opens a door. He and EJ observe as a man dramatically emerges. A man who is the spitting image of Rafe Hernandez, but has a less honest look about him. He grins at his bosses. They grin right back. SHOWTIME! Next on Days of Our Lives The warden has a gun on Hope and warns Bo. "Unless I get what I want, she's dead!" EJ is standing by faux Rafe and addresses Stefano. "It's time to make our move." The phoenix is elated. "Ah!" Nicole asks Taylor what she's talking about. "Moving in here for a while!" she smiles. |
