Tuesday, February 1, 2011 up at 5:15 pm est January 31 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! SWITCH! - At the hospital, Nath approaches nurse Mel, who coolly states she has to go as they are understaffed. He points out she is not responding to his messages. He wants to talk. She thinks it is too complicated. He gets paged and asks if he can call her later. Mel does not think so. Dejected Nath walks away. - Replay of Taylor and Nicole's reunion on DiMera doorstep. The cop tells Nicole how her sis was accused of stealing a woman's wallet. Nicole doubts it. Taylor explains she accidentally picked up someone's wallet when her purse items fell out. Nicole assures the cop it must have been a misunderstanding and ushers him out. Nicole now gets serious and wants to know what she is doing there. Taylor sweetly hopes she got her letters. Nicole pretends she did not. Taylor smiles she heard from their mom she will soon be Mrs. EJ DiMera - again! Nicole agrees it is true. Taylor is curious why, in that case, she looks like she just lost her best friend. Nicole lists all the wonderful things she will have, ending with Sydney. "But you're marrying EJ DiMera," Taylor points out. Nicole gets snarky about her reaction. Taylor assures her she understands. She has seen photos of Sydney and she is a beautiful little girl. If Nicole is happy, she is happy for her. She pulls a pretty gift box out of her suitcase and congratulates her on her engagement. Tis a photo of big sister Nicole with her arms around her little sister, protecting her. Nicole gets wistful about the past. Taylor now asks if she can freshen up. Nicole sends her to the bathroom down the hall and holds the photo, remembering her sad youth. Taylor soon comes back while Nicole is drinking. Nicole wants to know what she really wants. Taylor claims she wishes to be involved in her wedding. Nicole bitterly recalls how she went off to work at an orphanage in Romania when she needed her once upon a time. Taylor assures her she wants them to be sisters and get close. Nicole quips they can have lunch or dinner together, but Taylor has something else in mind. She wants to move in! Nicole is flabbergasted, Taylor admits she got laid off and is looking for a fresh start. Nicole sighs she knows all about fresh starts. Taylor uncertainly asks if she will help her. - Replay of Stefano proudly showing EJ his Rafe lookalike. EJ exclaims "Brilliant!" Stefano calls him the new, improved Mr. Hernandez. EJ shakes his and drawls it is a pleasure to meet him. The imposter replies the pleasure is all his. The phoenix reminds him their plans must be sped up. He therefore has some questions for faux Rafe. When did he meet Sami? When she was in witness protection, at a safe house. How many children does Sami have? Four. EJ now has a question. Does he know how to treat Johnny and Sydney when he is with them? Faux Rafe nervously states he will make sure they know EJ is their father. Elvis is impressed. - Lexie stands at sleeping Rafe's bedside and promises they will get him back to his family soon. - Replay of Carly calling and telling Dan of the organ theft ring at the prison. Ben comes along holding the heart box. Dan shoves him against the wall. He protests. Dan orders him to shut up and looks at the card. It is from an inmate. Dr. Dan is angered to discover the patient never signed the organ donation consent form. Ben wants the heart for his patient. Dan says she can wait. A cop arrives and carts off Walters. - At the infirmary, Lee intends to update warden Smith. The nurse wonders what she should do if something happens. Lee leers nothing will happen and walks out. - At the interrogation room, Bo continues to insist he and Hope were the victims. The warden continues lying. Hope calls her on it. The doubtful detective listens. The warden sneers Hope will face her life behind bars. Bo stands up and barks not to talk to her like that. The warden taunts she is facing a life sentence. "No way out!" Abe is with the group and now gets a call from Dr. Dan about the existence of an organ theft ring which originated from the prison. Unfortunately, they are too late for the latest victim, Abe says ominously ... - At the infirmary, Lee gets a call. The warden has just been taken into custody. She takes off and advises the nurse to dispose of the evidence. Lee does not return. The nurse deduces something is wrong. She should unplug this prisoner from life support and dispose of the body! - In the interrogation room, the detective stands up to arrest the warden. Hope calls her a murderer. Bo taunts inmates will not like an ex warden, even more than they disliked a cop! All of a sudden the warden knees the detective, grabs Hope, and holds a gun to her. If she is going down, Hope is coming with her! Hope elbows her. The detective and Bo lunge ...! Carly has heard the commotion and rushes in, worried about Bo. When she enters, she finds Hope and Bo in a moment of honesty. Hope thinks he has been through hell. Bo admits being without her is hell! Carly stares. When Hope sees Carly, she thanks her for all she did for her. Carly replies she did what anyone would have and calls Hope and Bo and Ciara a family. Hope emotionally thanks her for being so good to Ciara. Carly nods, her eyes filled with tears. Bo and Abe now interrogate the warden. Bo knows she has a boss. The warden wants to cut a deal in return for immunity. The big boss' name is known to them and if she can walk, she will say it. At the same time, Carly confers with the detective, wondering where Jen is. She suddenly remembers trustee Lee and insists the cops take her along to help find the evidence. The detective explains she is still in custody. Carly now places a call to the hospital. Mel answers. Carly needs Daniel. He is not available at the moment. Carly explains she needs him to find evidence at the prison infirmary only a medical professional would understand. Therefore, he must call her back. Mel gets off the phone, concludes time is of the essence, and decides to take action! - Back in the DiMera basement, Stefano informs EJ and faux Rafe that Marco is disguised as an orderly at the hospital. They move now! Meanwhile, real Rafe staggers out in his hospital gown, asking Nath to update him on what went down with Ben Walters, as he is the acting commissioner. He loses his balance for a moment. Nath starts to update Rafe. The acting commiss is disgusted by the warden and Walters' organ scheme. Stefano and EJ have just arrived and they are not pleased to see their subject out of bed! Stefano blanches upon hearing Rafe mention the warden and Ben's involvement in the organ theft ring. EJ notices. Stefano drawls they will play this scenario by ear, but their plan remains the same. Lexie approaches, surprised to see them. EJ claims they are there to see Johnny. He is sleeping. EJ now asks Lexie why Rafe is not in bed, given what he has been through. Lexie is suspicious he cares. EJ reminds her they have a truce, hence his concern. Lexie assumes he is becoming a compassionate person. EJ grins that change is good, for all of them! He later comes back from visiting Johnny. The phoenix impatiently informs him Marco has rendered Hernandez unconscious. And so the switch gets underway. Marco secretly wheels sleeping Rafe out. Faux Rafe is already in his bed, wearing a hospital gown. "Adios, amigo!" he chuckles. Stefano and EJ soon stand over their reposing flunky's bed. Phase one has been completed. Time for phase two! - Alone for a moment in the interrogation room, warden Jane gets a warning from the cop who arrested Ben Walters. He has a message from Stefano DiMera. She had better not say his name - or else! When Abe returns with news of a plea deal, the warden declares she was working for Dr. Ben Walters ... - Dan later meets with Abe, to request that the heart they are holding as evidence be released for a patient. Carly is dismayed to hear that Mel did not give him her message. - The cops arrive at the prison infirmary with Mel. The nurse nervously tries to blow them off. The officer insists on entering. When Mel sees Jennifer hooked up to life support, she stops dead in her tracks. "Oh my God!" - Bo and Hope are relieved to hear from Abe that the warden and dirty state cop are being processed. The state attorney believes their story. Exit Abe. Bo turns to Hope and declares it is over. Hope smiles and closes her eyes. She opens them and tells Bo he is a free man. Ciara will get her daddy back. However, she still has a sentence to serve. And the warden wants to see her dead. She could still do things. Bo assures her nothing will happen to her. Not on his watch. - Mel calls Dan, who is with Abe and Carly. She stammers something bad has happened. She is at the prison infirmary. "It's Jennifer. They took her heart!" Dan freezes. - At DiMera mansion, Nicole sighs she would rather not have a boarder, as she does not think EJ would approve. Taylor presses. Nicole states it cannot happen. She tells her sis of a new motel and wishes her luck. She opens the door. Taylor wishes her luck as well, bitterly laments it was swell, and walks out dragging her suitcase. Nicole closes the door, though she is clearly upset. - EJ and Stefano stand outside their secret prison in the DiMera mansion basement, where Rafe lies sleeping. EJ wonders what comes next. The phoenix drawls there is only one thing left to do ... - Back at the hospital, Dr, Nath enters and asks patient Hernandez how he is feeling. Faux Rafe grins knowingly. "Like a new man!" Next on Days of Our Lives Mel implores Jen to hold on for her kids. Carly faces Hope. "You love him and he loves you, no matter how much you want to deny it!" Rafe is awake in his cell. "Welcome to your worst nightmare!" taunts Stefano. |
