| NEWSFLASH - JULIA ROBERTS DOOL FAN! from Hollywood Can we talk? This year's People's Choice Awards show was certainly well worth watching. The pre-event Joan Rivers barbs were, of course, a blast as she greeted arriving celebrities on the red carpet. Melissa, her lovely daughter, had a tamer approach, even blushing when complimented on her awesome abs. So much glam, glitter and fun all in one place! Then came the actual show ... The cast of DAYS were, without a doubt, the best dressed ensemble of the evening. Deidre Hall (Marlena) radiated her usual poise and elegance, leading the group to the podium to accept the well deserved best daytime soap award as Mathew Ashford (Jack) struck a matinee idol pose for the camera. Not long afterwards, Julia Roberts, charming and willowy as ever, walked onstage to accept her own award. No one was surprised, seeing as Julia is America's sweetheart. During her speech, she nervously announced that she was "freaking out" because she was seated very close to the cast of "Days of Our Lives". Apparently La Julia, now sporting red hair again and looking MARVELOUS, had asked to be seated near the gang as she is a HUGE Days fan! She even excitedly posed for pics with the cast backstage after the event. What can I say? One more reason to know you're in great company! Oh, and congratulations DAYS - you're #1 ! |
