The Jerry Lewis MDA telethon brought in 60.5 million dollars, in spite of the fact that many folks are facing tough times. Jerry was much moved by the generosity and thanked the good people who gave for their compassion. He did look a tad tired. Bless him for his hard work! Larry Hagman, best known as naughty JR Ewing on the primetime soap Dallas, recently told the U.K. Telegraph that he still has fond memories of the years he spent in London with the special services of the U.S. Air Force, in the 1950s. And speaking of London, EastEnders just won for best soap at the U.K.'s TV Quick and TV Choice Awards. Unlike the glossy, high fashion Bold and Beautiful, which recently won the U.S. Daytime Emmy for best soap, EastEnders focuses on the trials and tribulations of ordinary working class men and women. One U.K. actor who had a brief part in EastEnders prior to relocating to the U.S. was James Scott, who now plays upper crust EJ DiMera on Days of Our Lives. Fancy that!
