John Black came back to Days with most of his memories and emotions erased. The disk containing them is reportedly about to get tossed and here comes a vengeful Stefano, his first target Marlena! Do you think it’s high time John’s memory returned so he could remember his romance with Marlena and his past with Stefano, the ISA, his family, and the Salem P.D.?   1. I think John and Marlena need to be 2-gether and he needs to remember her. Maybe they can do this in a dramatic way with the Stefano story. Any ideas how?

  2. John needs to get his memory back and rescue Marlena. Lucas needs to disappear for good as he is just a hot headed self centered person that is not in Sammi’s best interest. Roman had it right – Sammi is better off without EJ or Lucas. Both are self centered and trouble for her. She needs to become her own person and stand on her own two feet.

  3. Even though John and Marlena have overcome the same obstical over and over again this time it is different, as Marlena first said. This time she is actually loosing him and it seems as though he has no connection to her whatsoever unlike all the other times. But even with that being said I think John has more of a connection with Marlena than she even knows. But he’s hiding it for God knows what reason. But I have no idea why if John really remembers more than he says he does than why would he be wasting his time with no good Ava? John remembering and not saying anything for a while is probaly just another big John revalation and it’s only a matter of time until he regains his memory and the super couple are super couple once again. But the way Days is going right now, who knows?

  4. I love NuJohn’s dry sense of humor and quick wit but I miss the charisma of Old John and his great smile. We all know how John and Marlena are so bonded that their spirits commune so I look forward to them reuniting as the super couple that are were always meant to be. The trick is to keep them so busy with adventure that they have little time for the boring kissy face stuff that has been their lot last year under different headwriters. I would LOVE to see John, Bo, Steve and EJ involved in mystery and adventure that brings them to a point of trusting each other for their very lives.

  5. I think John will start to get his memories back when He finds his beloved Marlena in trouble from Stefano. I would love him to find her in some kind of trouble and then all of sudden just say Doc, I love you. But he does not get all his memories back that he kind of stays the a little of the NuJohn with some of the passion of the old John.

  6. I love NuJohn. I am completely amazed by the new character Drake created. I want him to keep this character. He is just on the edge of being bad and it is very exciting to watch.

  7. I absolutely LOVE NuJohn. Drake is doing an AWESOME job with this new character, I am blown away by it. Whether John is with marlena or not I really don’t care, I just want NuJohn to stay in Salem for a very long time. IMO if people can’t accept him for who he is now then he is better off without them & this new story with Stefano is going to be really good. I am looking forward to Stefano & Jawn fighing it out.

  8. I love both John and Marlena together and they have great chemistry. But…when they’re happily in love, it does get boring. So….why not leave the New John around, but have Stephano turn Marlena into a “New Marlena” where the New John and the New Marlena will both, together as a team, create havoc with the “good people” of Salem???

  9. Drake has done a great job with the NuJohn. However, I think the role is getting old. He had some pangs of conscience in earlier scenes. I don’t see that much anymore. He’s too nasty and hateful to other people. He wants others to honor what his id needs, but totally disregards anyone else’s needs. I want to see more signs of humanity in him.
    I’m looking forward to the Stephano confrontation.
    I want Marlena to care about John, but I’m sick to death of her being an audience or voyeur for his affairs controlled by magic mirrors, brain chips, drugs, disks, or whatever.
    I would like to see Marlena involved with a real man, maybe a doctor at the hospital. I’m tired of the on going cross between a cartoon and a James Bond type character that John is always portrayed as. If the show can’t get rid of his camp-type qualities that needs his ego stroked by an on going parade of new sexual encounters, then I want Marlena to move on.

  10. John and Marlena have always been drawn to eachother, even when Blondie thought he was Stefano ALL those years ago, she didnt leave his side. I would love to see him get his memory back without the disk- not only the memory he had but his entire life, would love to see a few glimpses of his mom rocking him to sleep ect.. – In an act to save Bo, let’s day Bo is in some sort of trouble at the docks, he goes to save him and is shocked/electricuted. He goes in to convulsions from the horror he remembers, but doesnt reveal it that second. He saves Bo and Bo contributes Johns physical reaction to the eletricution. John’s whole life is now there, his loyalty to stefano, his loyalty to his family, the Alimains using him as a trophy child, a few memories of his mom. They can even turn it around to say the ISA was involved from the begining working with stefano to create the perfect agent, the ISA was pushing but because of the nature of it they couldnt get official involved, make Roman a part of it, Why does John always have to be the one trying to find redemption?? Make Roman a willing participant, but he didnt know exactly what he was in store for hence him turning up a non-dead in Stefano’s capture, he kept quiet cause that is what a good agent does, and he really didnt know what happened, he thought the project was null and void and that Stefano took over. John stays after on the pier to recover and process everything he remembers and Marlena feeling lonely missing her John walks on to the pier, John can always feel her presence, without actually looking at her he difts back to that reunion years ago when he thought he was Roman and Marlena came back from the dead… That could be the beginning of there current reunion.

  12. I would love John to get his memories back so he can remember the love that he and Marlena share.I think his memories will return with out the disc! They have this strong connections. They are bound by body, spirit and soul. I wANT TO SEE John memories return so he cannot be accused of the things hes done.If that happens half of Salem can eat crow! But i would like for him to keep some of the edginess of the new John, but once again romance Marlena again as the true old John that he always has been and willbe! I love the old romantic John!

  14. Hello…days execs…are you listening, Rebecca would be a great writer. (Yeah Rebecca, those are great concepts.) Most of us are saying the same thing. NuJohn needs to go away, although I do admire Drake for being such a versatile actor.

  15. I agree with the person who commented that John’s memories will begin to come back when Stephano goes after Marlena, his protective instinct of her will cause him to remember their love. But I do hope he will not let anyone know until he can finally get the goods on Stephano to put him away in prison for at least a good long while. Also I believe Chloe will be pregnant to Lucas so that he will marry her to keep him and Sami apart for so time and so that Sami will see how he feels about her having a child with EJ. Lucas will marry Chloe because he is such a wonderful Father, unfortunately Chloe will always be in love with Brady and when he comes back it will cause a problem, which will give Sami and Lucas a chance to get back into each other life again.

  18. I have enjoyed nu-John for the mostpart and I like his sense of humor. I haven’t cared for his mean streak of late toward Marlena though and his fling with Ava was hard to watch. I hope though that the connection between John & Marlena that has always been there will come through once again and bring them together. I’m a romantic and so I have high hopes that they will once again find each other (I really hope nu-John finds some warmth and emotion for her.)

    that he is today. Its the only way to defeat Stephano.

  20. I absolutely LOVE new Jawn and don’t want him to EVER go away. If getting his memory back means that Jawn will be sacrificed, I’d rather Jawn stay memory free. IMO this is one of the most FABULOUS characters to ever be on DAYS and Drake’s portrayal of Jawn is brilliant. Salem needs another bad boy and New Jawn is PERFECT! I’d love to see the DiMera boys, Jawn, Elvis and Tony, team up to defeat Stefano.

    Kudoes to Drake for proving what an extraordinary actor he is, I look forward to days where I have Jawn entertaining me.

  24. I love the new John he’s no nonsense, dangerous and down right sexy…I think he should remain . Why must the story line always be the same with John returning to his same old Good guy boring self. We have enough of those characters in Days. let Marlena find a new man or woman! Spice things up!

  25. I’ve been watching Days for 31 yrs. and it seems the script is about to be repeated (again!!) with Marlena being kidnapped by Stefano, now for revenge?? With Stefano, it’s always about revenge!!! I liked the new John at the beginning, but now it’s getting boring, he needs to go back to being the old John, cracking a smile once in a while and wearing other clothes, besides black clothes all the time.Regarding Chloe, she’s just plain disgusting. They bought her character back to play what, a whore??. Ever since she’s been divorced from Brady, that’s exactley how she’s been acting. First, she beds Phillip and the Lucas!! How low can she get!!! It’s sad, because these are good actors and I think better scripts should be written, not insulting the audiance’s intellegance by all the crap they put on. Most of the time, I ff the majority of the show.

After watching John and Marlena’s love grow over the years, I cannot believe they would ever be apart, yet this year, the writers have written them not only apart, but John has no memory of his love for Marlena, and He NEVER wants to find out who he truely is…that’s not normal. Nujohn can be hilarious at times, but the meaness coming from him toward Marlena, is intolerable. He needs to get some, (if not all), his memory back. This “thing” with Ava should have never happened. He is making enemies out of all the people who supported him, including his own family. If he keeps being NuJohn without some memories of his real self, I see no future for him in Salem with or without Marlena.

  27. There are millions of fans and hundreds of my friends who have stopped watching Days because of the new John. That was a storyline that should’ve lasted MAYBE a month. Now it’s just ridiculous. He sucks. Bring back old John…then maybe you’ll see the ratings go back up! It’s simple!

  31. I think John should definitely get his memory back. He just has to remember Marlena and his past. He’ll need a little of the new John though to fight Stefano. That will definitely be interesting! John and Marlena belong together. Sami and Lucas should also be together. Their history and love has lasted way too long and can’t end now.

  32. John and Marlena belong together whether he gets his memory back or not. I want Marlena to fall in love with the new John and I want him to fall in love with her. He’ll soften and become a more likable person as he falls for her. After they are head over heels in love with each other, they discover there is a way for John to get his memories back.

    Or maybe Stefano could give John his memories back but with no emotional connection to them. He’d remember his life with Marlena but wouldn’t feel the love they shared, he would remember Belle’s birth but not the joy he felt when he found out he was her father. That might be interesting.

    I just want a love story for John and Marlena that allows me to watch them falling in love with each other :)

  33. When John first came back I did like this dark side, I would like to see him keep some of his edge but once he hooked up with Ava it turned my stomach and I would ff through these parts. I agree that the Ava thing should not have happened. I would love the story of the struggle that John and Marlena go through to get his memories back, but also the story of John over powering Stefano and taking over the Dimera empire and making Stefano’s life miserable so he can pay for all that he had one to everyone. Wouldn’t it be something to see Stephano living out on the streets with no money? I wonder how he would be if he lost everything?

  34. I think John and Marlena should be together!! They have that great romance and it should not be thrown away like it never existed!! Real John needs to keep the “best” of both Johns. :)
    Do these writers know what true romance and relationships really are???

    Lucas should have a chance to become the character they have promised he would…for YEARS!!! Bryan is a great actor, with a great sense of humor. That should be incorporated in his character.
    I do think he and Sami should be together, they have a teenage son that need them, as well as the twins, but…Sami needs to find her brain first!!
    I hate to see the way tptb have treated the characters…why do they want us to hate them??
    If TPTB can’t pull this off, it will be like it was when John “died”!!! Pure chaos!!

  35. I love the NuJohn but I really want him to remain with Marlena. If John could just remember Marlena and their life together plus have some of the “old” personality mixed with his “new” sense of humor, this would be wonderful.

    Marlena seems to enjoy some of the rough edges that the NuJohn has so I think it would work out and I love his honesty (he says things that everyone else wants to say!).

  36. I have to say that I really like the “new” John.
    His character is more interesting and more alive now- It’s some of his best acting yet!! I think it can be possible to allow John to get some of his memories back, but maybe still maintain characteristics of new John, and maybe not still wind up with MArelena in the end- I have to say that the old John and Marlena together was getting stale- very boring- I would fast forward right through their scenes- now I watch every scene. The new John is why I stay tuned in. Things are just more spicy this way. Keep the new John.

  37. I like the mysterious new John. He is alot more unpredictable and interesting. I do want him to end up with Marlena in the end though. I just don’t want it to be flash he has all his memories back and instantly he is back to his old self and that is the end of it….to predictable. I would like Marlena and the new John to form a new kind of romantic realationship and over time he gets his memories back piece by piece. Then eventually he can suprise her with the fact that he can remember everything.

  44. I forget to say, I love Jawn with Ava. Know a lot don’t, but she has been there for him when no one else has. No friends, only people who use him to get what they want. Only Claire before Ava took him as he was. Miss her and her parents.
    I have really enjoyed the scenes of Jawn and Philip. Philip is great good and bad, too.

  46. I think the old john should come back. I don’t like the fact that they have put him with ava. that is just wrong. John and Marlena are so meant to be. Ava is just a very mean person who has no feeling for nobody but herself and seem to like to destroy marriages. (Steve & Kayla and John & Marlena)

  47. Stefano is such a fake. He has been on the show too long making people die and then they come back to life. That is so unreal it is boring. I like the plot that was there years ago when there were happy families. There is enough unrest in the world without showing people some of the crap that ends up on the show.

  48. Here we go again, bringing back boring ass Stefano and his same repeticious script!!! “Everybody must pay for what they did to me”, yeah well, maybe you bought it upon yourself,Stefano?? This is why Day’s ratings have dropped. Can’t the writers use their imaginations and write better scripts without insulting the viewers intelligence? Out of 1 whole hour of this soap, I usually see only 15 min. of it. I ff most of the boring parts and it’s sad because I’ve been wathing it for 31 yrs.

Give me a break…that has been used way too many times…yes they brought Stefano back because viewers wanted it, but please let’s get a new story for him….all this vindication has got to go…and hopefully Rolf isn’t involved in all this…just when he was becoming likable interacting with Sami and all…

I think that NuJohn will remember Marlena when he finds her unconscious in her apartment today (Mon., 11 Aug)…While giving her mouth-to-mouth, he’ll remember something from their past & he’ll slowly or quickly (depends on the writers) get his memories of HER back. You’ll see Stefano kidnap Marlena & NuJohn will be the first one out looking for her.

    One more thing, John will also go out of his way to protect Sami…his nu-friend & confidant.

    Rolf will be torn between his loyality to NuJohn & Stefano…He rescues Baby Joe but Stefan snatches him out of his arms!!
